That's A Nice Rack You Have!

Ok this project is not all the way finished but it is almost there!  It was quick and easy and it turned out way better than I thought it ever would.  Rosa came to me with the idea and asked if I could do it.  She showed me this picture.

Slave (Vinyl of Note)

I got this fine gem of funk magic from my dad.  He gave me numerous albums and this is one I find myself always listening to.

Slave is the first album by the American funk band Slave, released in 1977. The album reached number six on the Billboard Top Soul Albums chart and was certified Gold. The single from the album, "Slide", reached number one on the Billboard soul chart and 32 on the Hot 100. Original members at this point included Steve Washington, Mark "Drac" Hicks, Mark Adams, Danny Webster, Floyd Miller, Carter Bradley, Orion Wilhoite, Tim Dozier and Tom Lockett.  Wiki Link

The World on a Pallet

I love it when a plan comes together.  I saw a map at the store the other day that I liked but it cost a million dollars.  When I looked at it online it cost a million dollars plus shipping and handling.  Yes I know I am over exaggerating but the price to me was a bit excessive.  I said to myself, self you could do that for way cheaper.

Sticky Fun

You cant get the full gist of this thing from the pictures but I will do my best to describe it.  I went rugged this week.  While hiking in Mount Hood Nation Forest and while climbing Mount Tom, Dick and Harry (I'm a child and really love saying that) I found and awesome stick, branch or whatever you want to call it.  My knee was acting up and I was determined to  make the ascent and so I grabbed it and used it as a walking stick. To be honest is was so well worn I really think someone else did the same and I was just lucky enough to come across it.  So moving on.  Once I came down the mountain I decided to keep the stick and maybe one day make a it a real walking stick.  Well that day has come and gone already.

Thin Blue Line

I recently completed another scrap wood project.  Recently and sadly here in San Antonio a Police Officer was gunned done in front of the SAPD Headquarters.  He was targeted because hew was a cop. To me that is a very sad thing. Just because he wore the uniform he was a target for someone's hate and anger.  They caught the man who did it but it still does not bring back the dead.  I had plans to do and American flag prior to doing this and changed it to the the Thin Blue Line Flag as it to honor Officer Benjamin Marconi.  I will add his name to it and hang it in my home.
